I know from experience that women minister uniquely to women. The young mother at the point of personal discouragement and despair can be ministered to by a godly older woman . Her encouragement and support at that crucial time will make a dramatic difference in a young woman's life.
With so many of Satan's arrows being aimed at our families, the need for godly warriors is at an all time high. School, dating, marriage, births, death, divorce, list only a very few of the real areas that woman are being attacked.
At Mt. Pleasant Church the program is called Women's Ministries because it isn't a single program, but rather is a cluster of ministries. The core of the program is Bible studies held in homes across the county and also at the church during the school year. Women are encouraged to join into many electives during the year. Retreats, Women's Conference's, sewing, gardening, cooking, cake decorating, are just a few of the electives that have been offered over the past ten years.
A Widows Ministry, New Mom's Ministry, Mentoring Ministry, and reaching out to our community in many areas of service are some of the service areas of Ministry.
During the past ten years I have seen how creative and innovative women are. They demonstrate their love and care in ways that are distinctly feminine. They contribute enormously to the health of the local church body. I have seen women mature in their personal lives, grow deeper in their relationship with God, and develop creative and effective outreaches into the community.
The Bible is the foundation of these Ministries. And you, my Dear Sister in Christ, are the heartbeat.
You are the Titus 2:3-5 Woman. Each of these Ministries function only when each of you are involved and contribute your God given talents and gifts.
You have a personal invitation to join in with other women to serve our Lord.
